My name is Gary Katsevman. I am currently a sophomore at Northeastern University on my way to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Minor and Business. I am a tech enthusiast and read many many blogs about tech, programming and other cool stuff on a daily basis. I also listen to many interesting podcasts. I will post about them some more later on. At Northeastern I am part of the Northeastern branch of the ACM. I am also part of where I also produce, along with other crewbies, a weekly podcast focusing on interesting tech news and other news related to Northeaster and CCS. Before Northeastern I attended Newton South High School. During sophomore year of high school I got interested in Computer Science and the following year I took the AP Course as well as the AP Computer Science test. My senior year of high school I took Neurobiology and Psychology which were both fun. I also took AP Physics: Mechanics. It was interesting, though hard. During my spare time I like reading, though, lately I have been reading books via Audiobooks. This is because I have a two hour both way commute to Northeastern from where I live. It is easier to listen to book on the T; moreover, there is a higher retention rate of information via audio than via reading. So, I can even read harder to understand books, that otherwise would not have been interesting to me. I also like Anime, Manga and Comics. I also like the occasional video game. At the moment I am addicted to Mass Effect. I have also taught myself how to play guitar. I am not very good yet, but I try; I should really practice more often though. I enjoy music and frequent Pandora.com. I do know how to play Piano, but probably even worse than guitar.
